It has been a challenging year for all of us: the pandemic and its economic and social impact have put a strain on our resilience. As Italians, we were not used to not being able to hug, be close to one another, or partake in large and festive family gatherings.
It seemed impossible to imagine taking our day-to-day office activities home, having samples and materials shipped to our homes instead of to the office, conducting our usual meetings on Teams, and not being able to enjoy coffee break with our coworkers. We couldn’t fathom not being able to hug our grandparents, or have to give up usual dinner nights with big groups of friends.
Instead, we found that we can do it and that, sometimes, it’s not even that bad.
We reinvented ourselves, our way of working, of socializing, of being in the world. We did it rather quickly as well. We as human beings have an extraordinary ability to adapt to ourcircumstances.
All things are difficult before they are easy.
This Christmas, our tribute goes to our ability to react and reinvent ourselves, in the hopes that our values remain unchanged: respect for the environment and each other must remain the same.
SOCIAL COMMITMENT
INTHEBOX has always supported the local community through projects that involve social initiatives.
In keeping with this tradition, this year we entrusted the production of our winter gift to an organization that offers a safe employment opportunity to vulnerable members of society — especially women — who have fought and overcome difficult situations on a personal or social level.
PLASTIC-FREE CONCEPT
We truly believe that we have to reduce the production and consumption of plastic.
That’s why each new product branded INTHEBOX is designed without the use of plastic and strictly with eco-friendly materials.
Both the box and planner are made of recycled papers and certified fabrics and bound with cotton yarn.
The box, moreover, has a certified and 100% recycled cardboard structure, produced with a low carbon footprint.
UPCYLED MATERIALS
When we set out to develop the concept for our multipurpose pouch, we decided we wanted to put some leftover fabrics we had from previous productions to use.
In our effort to be sustainable, these high-quality fabrics were upcycled and got new life with the production of this useful and versatile product.
